War Party Flails Against the New Reality Defined by the Singapore and Helsinki Summits

War Party Flails Against the New Reality Defined by the Singapore and Helsinki Summits

On Friday Russian President Vladimir Putin said while in South Africa for the BRICS Summit that he had invited U.S. President Donald Trump to Moscow for talks. The Administration reciprocated later in the day, saying Putin is welcome to visit the White House next year. Despite major Senate opposition and hysterical press and social media cries of ‘treason!’, the two sides are slowly working towards easing tensions. The response from the British-led trans-Atlantic deep state and their front men in Congress has been to propose more sanctions and accuse Moscow of hacking into the U.S. power grid and the campaign of Missouri Democratic Sen. Claire McCaskill.

The deep state dead-enders are doubling down on the Russiagate scandal, with former attorney Michael Cohen contradicting his previous Senate testimony and public denials that candidate Trump did not know about a summer 2016 meeting between his son Donald Jr. and Fusion GPS paid “Russian government lawyer” provocateur Natalia Veselnitskaya at Trump Tower (Ms. Veselnitskaya was coached by Fusion GPS CEO Glenn Simpson before the meeting and after it). The President tweeted out that Cohen has likely hired old Clintons crony Lanny Davis and turned on his former patron to save himself and his Ukrainian-born father in law from an indictment over fraud in their New York taxi business — charges that, like the indictments against former campaign chair Paul Manafort, have nothing to do with Russia collusion. But they have everything to do with special counsel Robert Mueller’s desperation to find any witness who can testify for him against President Trump.

Syraq SITREP 55: IAF Strikes Hezbollah Shi'a Foreign Fighters Training Base as US Warns Damascus Against Liberating Southwestern Territory Close to Jordan and Israel

Syraq SITREP 55: IAF Strikes Hezbollah Shi'a Foreign Fighters Training Base as US Warns Damascus Against Liberating Southwestern Territory Close to Jordan and Israel

On Thursday May 24, Israeli warplanes launched standoff missiles, reportedly killing twelve pro-government foreign fighters stationed between the towns of Boukamal and Hmeimeh in Deir el-Zour province. Syrian media initially blamed the U.S. for the air strike, raising fears that pro-Damascus forces were again clashing with the American backed Kurds in the Euphrates Valley as during the notorious (and wildly inflated Russian ‘Wagner mercenary’ casualties) battle of the Conoco gas field on February 6-7, 2018. But the Coalition denied Syrian and Hezbollah media reports of its involvement and the Russians clarified that no American units were involved.

The most likely explanation for the confusion is that Israeli Air Force (IAF) F15I jets were once again using U.S. transponder signals, which only the Russians would be able to distinguish on radar from U.S. Air Force F15Es. ISIS had been carrying out hit and run attacks in the Homs desert on the same day and the following days, drawing SAA reinforcements to the area.

Days after the IAF had boasted of using the stealthy F35 Adir in combat for the first time, Dabaa airbase in Homs province, no longer used by the Syrian Arab Air Force but known as a training ground for Hezbollah and its Iranian allied Iraqi/Afghan Shi’a fighters, was also hit by a several missiles. Syrian air defense forces claim to have shot down some of the incoming projectiles, and video was posted online of Syria’s old S200 SAMs firing into the night skies. After Damascus victoriously ended seven years of fighting in and around the Syrian capital, the Trump Administration warned the Syrians not to advance on the deescalation zone in Deraa, the ‘cradle of the revolution’ where jihadists are still providing Israel with a small buffer zone.

Syraq SITREP 42: Trump Says U.S. Will Leave Syria 'Soon', While Israelis Boast of F35 Flights Through Syraqi Airspace to Iran

Syraq SITREP 42: Trump Says U.S. Will Leave Syria 'Soon', While Israelis Boast of F35 Flights Through Syraqi Airspace to Iran

The clash between a commander in chief who claims to be determined to shake up how Washington does things and the Swamp/established bureaucracies apparently continued on Thursday, when President Donald Trump suggested in a speech to Ohio workers that U.S. forces would leave Syria soon. The mission of 'knocking the hell out of ISIS' Trump declared, had been accomplished and, "We're coming out of Syria very soon. Let the other people take care of it now, very soon. Very soon, we're coming out."

The question of what was the official U.S. position if not that of the President was pushed to the Pentagon, who punted to the White House, and the State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert declared herself unaware of any change in policy. Astute RogueMoney readers will note this is the same Nauert who declared the Russians were playing the victims following their expulsion of 60 American diplomats and closure of the U.S. consulate in St. Petersburg, in retaliation for Washington shutting down the Russians' Seattle consulate and booting sixty Russian diplomats or alleged spies under diplomatic cover. The so-called Skripal affair and the failing British attempt to 'link' the alleged use of nerve agent against one of their Russian assets on UK soil to (false flag) chemical weapons attacks in Syria being the stated justification for the harsh American measures against Russia's diplomatic missions to the U.S. and UN. Nauert also compared, in a bizarre press conference metaphor she used this week, the Russian state to some beast from the deep with many tentacles.

Even after forcing out Russophobic national security adviser H.R. McMaster, only to replace him with neocon bomb-bomb-bomb Iran enthusiast John Bolton, the contrast between Trump and his cabinet and the agencies that nominally follow his lead remains extreme. As MSM articles covering Trump's seemingly off the cuff promise to withdraw U.S. troops from Syria made clear, the Pentagon under Secretary of Defense James Mattis has refused to give any timetable for an American withdrawal from the territory liberated from ISIS it's (illegally) occupying east of the Euphrates. But Trump's hint at 'letting others take care of it' meaning the remnants of ISIS or Al-Qaeda (also known to RM readers as al-CIA-eda) strongly suggests that our friend at LaRouchePAC Harley Schlanger is correct, and the President's instincts are to cooperate with the Russians and Turks in establishing a durable peace deal in Syria. Which is precisely the opposite of what rabidly anti-Iran hawks like UN Ambassador Nikki Haley and John Bolton Trump appointed and who serve at his pleasure are demanding...and what Trump's BFFs in Israel are suggesting with their braggadocio about 'stealth' F35 missions through Syria and Iraq's air space to strike Hezbollah and Assad's patrons in Iran.

Trump to Putin — Let's Get Together Soon -- and Cambridge Analytica Revelations Further Proof of British Meddling in 2016 Election

Trump to Putin — Let's Get Together Soon -- and Cambridge Analytica Revelations Further Proof of British Meddling in 2016 Election

President Donald Trump has just pulled the rug out from under mad-lady Theresa May and the even madder Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson. While these has-been champions of the dying British Empire are blaming Russia for acts of war, based, typically, on no evidence, Trump yesterday got on the phone with the newly re-elected President Vladimir Putin. Trump not only congratulated Putin for his electoral victory, but announced to the U.S. press that he and Putin "will probably get together in the not-too-distant future" to discuss measures to prevent an arms race, and to find peaceful solutions to the crises in Ukraine, Syria and North Korea.

The Kremlin read-out of the call said that the two leaders "spoke in favor of developing practical cooperation in various areas, including efforts to ensure strategic stability and combat international terrorism, with particular emphasis on the importance of coordinated efforts to curb an arms race." The Kremlin added: "The exchange on economic cooperation revealed an interest in bolstering it. Energy was discussed separately."

The British will be chewing a rug this week. Not only has Trump destroyed their ploy to blame Russia for a chemical warfare attack on British soil, but the "Russiagate" scam within the U.S., run directly by MI6 agent Christopher Steele and his assets within the U.S., has collapsed. Now, the operatives in that attempted coup against the U.S. government — including John Brennan, James Clapper, Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and several recently fired FBI operatives — are facing possible criminal charges for the most blatant act of treason in modern U.S. history, all on behalf of the British Empire.

Washington Appears Determined to Scupper the JCPOA agreement

Washington Appears Determined to Scupper the JCPOA agreement

During the 2016 presidential campaign the glaring exception to Donald Trump's otherwise sensible foreign policy rhetoric compared to his warmongering opponent Hillary Rodham Clinton was Iran. Whether due to his personal proclivities, a strong base of pro-Israeli conservative Christian and Jewish supporters, or the influence of his own daughter and son-in-law, Trump declared the P5+1+EU and Iran on the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) painstakingly hammered out during the Obama Administration "a bad deal".

Now it remains to be seen if the Trump White House is determined to fully tear up the agreement or if the U.S. even unilaterally has the power to do so against the wishes of not only its EU transatlantic partners and Turkey heavily invested in an opening Iranian economy, but also the Eurasian axis of Russia-China. -- JWS

Attempt To Set Up New U.S. Bombing of #Syria with Deadly Consequences?

On June 26, President Trump’s Press Secretary Sean Spicer announced that the President had evidence that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s forces were preparing for a "new" chemical weapons attack. President Trump responded that Assad would pay "a heavy price" if an attack were attempted. Now the British press agency Reuters has circulated a claim late on July 1, that al-Assad government forces attacked rebels and/or civilians near Damascus with chlorine gas...

Donbass War: Ukrainian Army Resumes 'Creeping' Offensive as Kiev and Its Beltway Backers Seek to Sabotage Trump's Detente with Russia

Donbass War: Ukrainian Army Resumes 'Creeping' Offensive as Kiev and Its Beltway Backers Seek to Sabotage Trump's Detente with Russia

Last weekend as President Petro Poroshenko met with Chancellor Angela Merkel in Germany, Ukrainian forces resumed their 'creeping' offensive in the war-torn Donbass region. Advancing according to Ukrainian politicians and commanders 'meter by meter' (in violation of the Minsk 2 ceasefire agreement), the UAF claimed to have repulsed an assault by the pro-Russian Donetsk People's Republic troops on the small city of Avdiivka, very close to and northwest of the DPR capitol of Donetsk. Aside from three critically wounded POWs captured by the Ukrainian Army's 72nd mechanized brigade early Sunday, there is little evidence 'the separatists' began the attack rather than the UAF, which outnumber the Novorossiya Armed Forces (NAF)/LDNR across the hundreds of kilometers-length frontlines and have far more manpower to expend.

In reply to the question of 'qui bono?' from heavy Donbass fighting resuming now during a period when the Kremlin is seeking detente with the new Trump Administration, the answer is certainly not Russia...

Trump to Nominate XOM CEO Rex Tillerson as Secretary of State

Trump the honey badger has done it again. After turning down a host of neocon and failed presidential candidate retread Republicans like Rudy Guliani and Mitt Romney for the job of Secretary of State, The Donald is set to nominate probably one of the most internationally experienced executives in the U.S. for the role of America's top diplomat.

Whatever else you can say about Mr. Tillerson as an embodiment of 'Big Oil', he knows more about what's going on economically within countries as diverse as Nigeria, Angola or Russia than just about everyone at the U.S. State Department. Tillerson as Secretary of State would also represent what Team RogueMoney member @BanksterSlayer calls the 'new management team' which sees the New Silk Road/One Belt One Road across Eurasia as a job and wealth creation opportunity for Americans, not a horror to be sabotaged at any cost.

Considering that, after signing a 2012 megadeal for joint Arctic exploration and asset swaps with state-owned OAO Rosneft, Mr. Tillerson received the Order of Friendship from Vladimir Putin, Trump's message to the Washington Establishment is unmistakeable: there will be U.S.-Russia detente. Deal with it!

Battle of Syraq SITREP 5: No More 'Accidents' Like Deir Ez Zor -- Russia Warns U.S. It Will Shoot Down Any 'Unidentified' Aircraft Attacking Syrian or Russian Forces

The Russians have had enough of Washington's threats to attack Syrian Arab Army units -- while claiming they will avoid deliberately striking Russian forces stationed in the country. The Russian Ministry of Defense sent out Major General Igor Konashenkov on Thursday, October 6, 2016 to warn the 'hotheads' of the CIA and Pentagon, who have previously been accused by Moscow's Foreign Ministry of undermining peace talks between Sergey Lavrov and John Kerry, of several facts...

Battle for Syraq SITREP 4: AlCIAeda Treason Exposed -- U.S. State Dept. Denies Arming Syrian Al-Qaeda Affiliate, Threatens Russians with 'Body Bags', Terror Attacks

Battle for Syraq SITREP 4: AlCIAeda Treason Exposed -- U.S. State Dept. Denies Arming Syrian Al-Qaeda Affiliate, Threatens Russians with 'Body Bags', Terror Attacks

On Tuesday the U.S. State Department spokesman John Kirby denied under reporters' questioning that Washington has been covertly arming the Al-Qaeda affiliate in Syria. The awkward questions came after German journalist Jörg Todenhöfer, who has spent more time interviewing the jihadists both ISIS and 'non' ISIS over the last five years of conflict than perhaps any (post)Western reporter, published the boasts of an alleged Al-Nusra commander about receiving hands on technical support as well as TOW missiles from Americans, Israelis and their Sunni Persian Gulf state allies inside Syria.

Naturally, the response of the mainstream media has been to ignore the interview. Neocon trolls and 'Free Syrian Army' (FSA) fanboys, many of them paid Washington think tank shills for Saudi Arabia or Qatar, have insisted 'the Assad regime' faked the Todenhöfer interview using an actor playing the terrorist. But Damascus has been adamant that not only is the CIA directly arming al-Nusra, bypassing the 'moderate' FSA middlemen, but that the Syrians have recorded audio of U.S. military members engaged in direct radio contact with ISIS before the Deir Ez Zor strike of September 17 killed over 62 Syrian Arab Army (SAA) soldiers. That audio has yet to be released by the Syrians, but Todenhöfer isn't backing down against critics attacking him or the authenticity of the interview.

After Turkey's Failed Putsch, Is Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed the Next in Line to Get Coup'd Over the Disastrous War in Yemen?

Even if we set aside Washington's ongoing pants-ing at the hands of the despotic neo-Ottoman Sultan who accuses the Americans of being behind Friday's coup, or ignore the fact that D.C.'s 'moderate rebel' proxies are being crushed in east Aleppo, there's another turd in the Mideast hummus bowl as the Guerrilla Economist would say: Yemen. Namely, Saudi Arabia's losing war against Saleh loyalist and Houthi tribesmen that has gone beyond a mere debacle to become a potentially existential threat to the continued reign if not survival of certain haughty princes, led by the 31-year-old Mohammad bin Salman Al Saud.

Duma Member Yevgeny Fedorov on U.S.-Russia Proxy War

Friday night's radio program featuring 'W the Intelligence Insider' hosted by the Guerrilla Economist included an extensive discussion of Russia. 'W' observed from a business person contact in Croatia and other observers that the Russian people appear to be firmly behind their government, and that Russians view the Kremlin's actions in Ukraine as fundamentally defensive or a counteroffensive waged after years or decades of encroachment by the U.S. and NATO.

'W' mentioned that there are of course, some dissenters against Russian President Vladimir Putin's course but the Kremlin does not have to resort to Soviet-style censorship or repressive measures while it can safely ignore them. 'W' also mentioned that he is personally relocating to an unnamed BRICS country. Judging by the context of his remarks we think it's safe to say we won't be meeting Agent W at the Shokoladnitsa by the Kremlin any time soon.
