Russia Hails Israel’s Strike against Islamic State Terrorists in Syria

Russia Hails Israel’s Strike against Islamic State Terrorists in Syria

The Russian Analyst has been writing about the growing ties between Israel and Russia for some time. While it would still be wrong to say the former frenemies who found themselves on opposite sides of the Syria proxy war are now allies, a new chapter is being written in relations between Moscow and Tel Aviv. While Russiagate hysteria and calls for new sanctions dominate Congress, both pro-Israel Congressmen and the legacy media do their best to pretend U.S. BFF Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and America’s supposed mortal enemy and Trump puppeteer Vladimir Putin do not have business-like relations. Much of that has to do with pragmatism, and Netanyahu recognizing that the ‘moderate’ Syria rebels have lost the war and the Kurds under American protection are cutting deals with Damascus. Another component is the fact that 1/7th of Israel’s population speaks Russian at home or has a relative who do so, and Israeli businessmen wanting to get Leviathan field natural gas from the Mediterranean into the Turkstream pipeline to Europe.

At any rate the Russian Defense Ministry issuing a rare note of praise for their Israeli counterparts for finally hitting ISIS in Syria rather than abetting them through air strikes on Russia’s allies in the Syrian Arab Army is noteworthy. The extensive talks between Netanyahu and Putin plus the Helsinki Summit are already bearing fruit, even if the U.S./UK legacy media ignore these subtle results. — JWS

Syraq SITREP 61: SAA Liberating SW Syria Despite Israeli Strikes, Putin Meets Netanyahu Ahead of Helsinki Summit with Trump

On July 11-12 the warm up act before the Helsinki summit between Russian President Vladimir Putin and President Donald Trump took place in Moscow. This was Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Uncle Sam’s BFF whom Congress once gave a standing ovation, praising the Anglo-American deep state and the legacy media’s enemy no. 1 Putin for Russia’s superb hosting of the 2018 World Cup. Netanyahu then joined Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and Croatia’s Prime Minister in watching the Croats 2-1 win over England at Luzhniki Stadium. After the pleasantries and Netanyahu’s posturing over the Israeli shoot down of a Syrian unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) followed by IAF missile strikes against structures along the Golan Heights line of contact, negotiations (which were well along the last time Bibi came to Moscow for the Victory Day holiday on May 9) resumed behind closed doors.

Syraq SITREP 53: Can Putin and Bibi Cut a Face Saving Deal to End Israeli Attacks On Syria?

Syraq SITREP 53: Can Putin and Bibi Cut a Face Saving Deal to End Israeli Attacks On Syria?

The situation in the Levant appears to be spiraling downward toward full scale war between Iran’s Syrian and Hezbollah allies and Israel. Tel Aviv has cited an Iranian military presence in the war-torn nation as a pretext to launch continuous attacks. Not only Israel’s Air Force but the Iron Dome defense system and the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) artillery were engaged after the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) retaliated for multiple IAF strikes inside Syria last week.

The clashes initiated from the Israeli side, which the ‘international community’ aka the NATO/Gulf Arab states bloc blamed on Iran, came hours after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Victory Day ‘Immortal Regiment’ march alongside Vladimir Putin in Moscow. The symbolism of a Russian leader jointly commemorating the Soviet victory over the Nazis with the PM of the Jewish State was not lost on anyone, especially after a report in Izvestia that no S300 missile systems would be delivered to the Syrians (though this report did not rule out that the systems have been covertly shipped to the Russian base at Kheimmim for safe storage from IAF missiles next to Russian troops).

What quid pro quo between the two world leaders led to this controversial Kremlin decision was the subject of widespread speculation among Russia watchers and academics with an interest in the complex Moscow-Tel Aviv relationship. A bilateral engagement tested by being on opposite sides of the Syria War, yet (as we wrote back in late 2015) bound by shared interests in eastern Mediterranean pipeline gas, Jewish Russian re-pats returning from Israel to Moscow, and the Russian Orthodox Church’s historic role in the Holy Land. Due to the late and post Soviet emigration, after the three official languages of Hebrew, Arabic and English, Russian is Israel’s unofficial fourth language.

The Sirius Report with London Paul 05-07-2018

London Paul returns to RogueMoneyRadio with his analyses of Washington unilaterally abandoning the JCPOA, the Trump Administration’s pressure on EU members led by Germany to abandon their lucrative contracts with Iran, and ‘the cabal’s failures in Eurasia. London Paul does not ‘trust the plan’ of QAnon’s online following and calls U.S. foreign policy “a neocon wet dream” at the moment, with President Trump campaign promises to dial back American military commitments being flouted. London Paul also connects the dots between the U.S. government reimposing sanctions on Iran, Israeli air strikes and threats to assassinate Assad in Syria, and Saudi desperation to drive up the oil price. He also discusses the collapse of special counsel Robert Mueller’s case for lack of Trump-Russia collusion evidence and the new media’s impatience with the slow pace of exposing and weeding the ‘deep state’ cabal’s operatives out of government.

“The next four weeks will be very pivotal” London Paul says in deciding the direction the U.S. is headed in the event driven scenario. — JWS

Syraq SITREP 52: Beating the War Drums, Bibi to Moscow for Victory Day and S300 Ambiguity

Syraq SITREP 52: Beating the War Drums, Bibi to Moscow for Victory Day and S300 Ambiguity

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s staff have confirmed to The Jerusalem Post that he will be in Moscow for the May 9th Victory Day holiday. In a sign that Vladimir Putin is seeking to deescalate tensions between Moscow and Tel Aviv, the Kremlin announced the Israeli PM had been invited to join Putin as an honored guest for the annual military parade through Red Square. A parade that will feature new Russian hardware on MiG31 jets like the Khinzhal hypersonic missile, designed to render American missile defenses obsolete.

Is this diplomacy evidence that Russia is a paper tiger, as the Anglo-American neocons contend, meekly accepting whatever the Israelis choose to dish out against its allies in Syria? Are the Kremlinologists correct that with the recently announced 20% defense spending cuts and rumored appointment of pro-Western globalist ‘cabal’ friendly liberals like Alexei Kudrin to the new presidential cabinet, Moscow is turning inward and seeking to appease the Americans and Israelis? Or is Putin calmly explaining to Bibi behind closed doors that Moscow cannot be responsible for the consequences, should he continue to recklessly provoke the Iranians and their (feared by the Israeli Defense Forces) Hezbollah allies?

The Empire Based in London Won't Give Up: They Must, and Can Be Defeated

The Empire Based in London Won't Give Up: They Must, and Can Be Defeated

Some very interesting things happened headed into this weekend in Washington as the soft coup against President Donald Trump continues to unravel. First and foremost, U.S. District Judge T.S. Ellis III questioned whether special counsel Robert Mueller exceeded the remit of his investigation into supposed Russian meddling in the 2016 election, by indicting Paul Manafort for alleged money laundering and failing to register as a foreign agent for Ukraine — offenses that took place well before Manafort briefly served as Trump’s campaign chairman. In unusually scathing language, the judge asked whether Mueller’s indictments were simply a legal pretext to compel Manafort into testifying against Trump. While any ruling by Ellis in favor of Manafort’s petition to dismiss the charges will surely be appealed, the mainstream media hyped impeccability and competency of Mueller’s investigation was ripped to shreds by a Reagan appointed federal judge who’s served on the bench for decades.

More relevant to the D.C. swamp creatures who waged a vendetta of leaks and laundering fraudulent opposition research paid for by the Clinton camp and produced by a British spy into the U.S. intelligence agencies, the Democrat-friendly Time magazine had to admit a pending report from Inspector General Michael E. Horowitz is hanging like a thundercloud over an increasingly frustrated if not demoralized FBI. Deputy Director Andrew McCabe is facing charges of lying to investigators while trying to blame subordinates for the media leaks he coordinated, in order to distract attention from his wife accepting campaign cash from a Clinton operative. Speaking of lying to the FBI, the charge retired Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) director and briefly serving ex-National Security Adviser Michael Flynn plead guilty to, in testimony by then Director James Comey freshly released by Congressional Republicans, Comey doubted that Flynn actually sought to deceive federal agents. The topic of questioning at that time being Flynn’s perfectly legal and authorized by the incoming administration (and 100% recorded by the FBI and NSA) phone conversations with the then Russian Ambassador Sergey Kisylak. In other words, even though Flynn plead guilty and began cooperating with Mueller’s team after facing financial ruin, President Trump now has a stronger case for pardoning the general (whose son Mike Flynn Jr. maintains his innocence).

Syraq SITREP 51: ESCALATION Israeli Missiles Hit Syria, Clashes Between Pro-Damascus Militia and U.S.-Backed SDF Along Euphrates

Syraq SITREP 51: ESCALATION Israeli Missiles Hit Syria, Clashes Between Pro-Damascus Militia and U.S.-Backed SDF Along Euphrates

Air strikes reportedly hit multiple locations inside Syria Sunday night, including an ammunition dump at a base of the 47th brigade near Hama. The blast from this facility recorded on video was so powerful, it was detected by seismographs in Turkey and Lebanon. Another missile strike reportedly hit a Syrian military airport overnight near Aleppo. Dozens of casualties, some Iranians and Shi’a Zaynabiyoun militiamen, were reported by journalist Danny Makki. Syrian television denounced the “new aggression” Monday morning.

The suspected Israeli missile strikes Tel Aviv had yet to acknowledge as of this post came hours after Secretary of State Mike Pompeo visited Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and denounced Iran during a visit to Saudi Arabia. The strikes also happened the same day pro-Damascus tribal militias, which the usual neocon suspects on Twitter insist must have included Iranian-backed forces, seized several Arab villages along the Euphrates River ‘deconfliction line’ from their U.S. supported Kurdish SDF occupiers. The SDF counterattacked, and the pro-Damascus forces retreated, but this time not without killing a local SDF commander and a dozen of his fighters. The message had been sent: the days of the Kurds occupying villages that have never been theirs or hiding behind the Americans will someday soon be coming to an end. After the ISIS Hunters and pro-Damascus units reportedly including dozens of Russian mercenaries were hit with U.S. air strikes, the shift towards hit and run tactics to make the thinly stretched Americans reconsider the vulnerability to infiltration of their long exposed flanks in the Euphrates Valley is not surprising. So too, would be the Russians and Americans desire to deconflict any further clashes between their respective proxies, so as not to draw their own troops into an escalating turf war.

Syraq SITREP 50: Russia Displays Missiles Downed Over Syria, U.S. General Complains About Russia's Electronic Warfare Jamming American Surveillance Planes in Syrian Skies, Israelis S300 Bluster

Syraq SITREP 50: Russia Displays Missiles Downed Over Syria, U.S. General Complains About Russia's Electronic Warfare Jamming American Surveillance Planes in Syrian Skies, Israelis S300 Bluster

On Wednesday April 25 the Russian Defense Ministry gave a press conference in Moscow intended to expose the falsehoods of their American ‘partners’ in the Pentagon and the false report President Trump repeated during a speech in Florida, boasting of 100% success in the missile strikes he ordered against Syria. Whether the President was lying or, as the Russian Analyst and London Paul suspect, Trump has been badly misinformed by his advisers remains to be seen. However, the evidence presented by the Russians that at least two missiles, one a Tomahawk and the other a Storm Shadow/SCALP of the type fired by the British and/or French, appears solid. The Russians conclusion that only 22 of the 105 missiles fired actually hit any targets is also consistent with the recorded damage to the three targets all sides agree were hit, which would’ve been blasted to dust by dozens of additional, successful hits.

This dismal showing for US/UK airpower is likely why the Anglo-American media, usually eager to swarm any Russian Defense Ministry claim with an army of trolls and Bellingcat couch potato bloggers insisting upon a fake, were curiously quiet regarding the RuMoD press conference nearly 24 hours later. Alternatively, the propaganda network retired Army Col. DIA analyst Pat Lang has linked to the British Army’s Security Assistance Group (SAG / 77th Brigade) and the various UK ministries promoting the ‘White Helmets’, have been so fixated on salvaging their masters Douma ‘chemical attack’ operation, that they could not spare any resources for an immediate rebuttal to Wednesday’s presentation. A Pentagon spokesman did dismiss the RuMoD as ‘Russian disinformation’, but MSM coverage of the Russians claims remained low key.

The pro-Russian online aggregator and strategic analyses site Southfront has a collection of photos taken by RIA Novosti and Sputnik, as well as its own short video you can watch below. Perhaps mindful that the Pentagon would try to dismiss their missile parts display as faked, the Russians took care to label in English and Cyrillic various identifiable portions of the downed Tomahawk and Storm Shadow ALCM. Indirectly, via a complaint spoken to a room full of intelligence analysts, servicemen and contractors thousands of miles away, no less an authority than the head of U.S. Special Operations Command confirmed the Russians capability to ‘off switch’ American electronic warfare aircraft. If Gen. Raymond Thomas, speaking to the U.S. Geospatial Intelligence Foundation’s 2018 GEOINT Symposium in Tampa, could confirm the Russians were badly messing with JSOC’s EC130 planes’ onboard systems, what could that mean for the vulnerability of inertial guidance on the Tomahawk and StormShadow missiles? Did Gen. Thomas hint at the painful truth for the Pentagon, that the Americans have badly fallen behind the Russians in non-kinetic electronic warfare?

Syraq SITREP 42: Trump Says U.S. Will Leave Syria 'Soon', While Israelis Boast of F35 Flights Through Syraqi Airspace to Iran

Syraq SITREP 42: Trump Says U.S. Will Leave Syria 'Soon', While Israelis Boast of F35 Flights Through Syraqi Airspace to Iran

The clash between a commander in chief who claims to be determined to shake up how Washington does things and the Swamp/established bureaucracies apparently continued on Thursday, when President Donald Trump suggested in a speech to Ohio workers that U.S. forces would leave Syria soon. The mission of 'knocking the hell out of ISIS' Trump declared, had been accomplished and, "We're coming out of Syria very soon. Let the other people take care of it now, very soon. Very soon, we're coming out."

The question of what was the official U.S. position if not that of the President was pushed to the Pentagon, who punted to the White House, and the State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert declared herself unaware of any change in policy. Astute RogueMoney readers will note this is the same Nauert who declared the Russians were playing the victims following their expulsion of 60 American diplomats and closure of the U.S. consulate in St. Petersburg, in retaliation for Washington shutting down the Russians' Seattle consulate and booting sixty Russian diplomats or alleged spies under diplomatic cover. The so-called Skripal affair and the failing British attempt to 'link' the alleged use of nerve agent against one of their Russian assets on UK soil to (false flag) chemical weapons attacks in Syria being the stated justification for the harsh American measures against Russia's diplomatic missions to the U.S. and UN. Nauert also compared, in a bizarre press conference metaphor she used this week, the Russian state to some beast from the deep with many tentacles.

Even after forcing out Russophobic national security adviser H.R. McMaster, only to replace him with neocon bomb-bomb-bomb Iran enthusiast John Bolton, the contrast between Trump and his cabinet and the agencies that nominally follow his lead remains extreme. As MSM articles covering Trump's seemingly off the cuff promise to withdraw U.S. troops from Syria made clear, the Pentagon under Secretary of Defense James Mattis has refused to give any timetable for an American withdrawal from the territory liberated from ISIS it's (illegally) occupying east of the Euphrates. But Trump's hint at 'letting others take care of it' meaning the remnants of ISIS or Al-Qaeda (also known to RM readers as al-CIA-eda) strongly suggests that our friend at LaRouchePAC Harley Schlanger is correct, and the President's instincts are to cooperate with the Russians and Turks in establishing a durable peace deal in Syria. Which is precisely the opposite of what rabidly anti-Iran hawks like UN Ambassador Nikki Haley and John Bolton Trump appointed and who serve at his pleasure are demanding...and what Trump's BFFs in Israel are suggesting with their braggadocio about 'stealth' F35 missions through Syria and Iraq's air space to strike Hezbollah and Assad's patrons in Iran.

Syraq SITREP 31: SecState Tillerson Commits Trump Admin to U.S. Occupation of Eastern Syria

During our commentary on Syria, the Russian Analyst and V the Guerrilla Economist began referring to the 'Race to the Euphrates' in late 2015, after Moscow forcefully intervened in the Syrian war to save the legitimate, and multi-confessional Damascus government. The historic analogy was to the Soviet and Allied armies meeting at the Elbe in the heart of a defeated Nazi Germany in spring 1945. However, like many historical analogies this one is both useful and flawed, in that elements of the Anglo-American-deep state (like their Wall Street bankster predecessors who supported Hitler's war machine even after Pearl Harbor) were covertly dealing with the Islamic State enemy. Certainly the huge convoys of ISIS oil tanker trucks left untouched by the Obama Administration's rules of engagement bombed to bits by Russia after President Putin's presentation to the United Nations in late September 2015 exposed the charade for anyone paying attention, shaming the Pentagon (including after a series of bloody Daesh attacks in Europe) into strangling the Langley/Riyadh fueled Frankenstein monster.

Syraq SITREP 25: IAF F35 'Adirs' vs. Syria's Russian SAMs and Hezbollah

Did two of the Israeli Air Force's Lockheed F35 jets get removed from service due to bird strikes, or because they had close encounters with Soviet vintage Syrian S200 SAMs?

That was the question asked by the respected among alt media websites Southfront.org, which was picked up by Zerohedge this week. However, the Russia Analyst believes, thanks to W the Intelligence Insider, that there is a third explanation for the reported temporary grounding of the two F35s. This theory ties in with advanced IAF/IDF preparations for an apparently delayed -- but hardly averted -- devastating second war between Israel and Hezbollah. A conflict W has warned in multiple RogueMoney radio programs will change the Middle East as we've known it.

'W' 09/08/2017

As victory in Syria's campaign against the ISIS terrorists draws closer, Israel has stepped up stand off air strikes launched at targets inside the war torn country, testing the patience of Vladimir Putin and the Russians, who do not want to be drawn into a larger conflict. Yet the Israelis continue to push their luck and seek to shape what many of their commanders regard as the battlefield for an inevitable sequel to the 2006 Israel-Hezbollah War, one that promises to be significantly bloodier for all sides than the brief war fought eleven years ago.

In the following hour and ten minute interview from Friday, September 8, 2017 'W the Intelligence Insider' breaks down how he sees a second Israel-Hezbollah War playing out this autumn. 'W' also gets into the esoteric aspects behind 9/11 and some of the forthcoming dates of significance to globalist occultists. To understand what has happened and may be about to happen in the Middle East, you won't want to miss this interview. -- JWS

Russia, Iran and the Overstretched SAA: Can More Iranian and Iraqi Troops Resume the Offensive with Russian Air Support?

For now the Russian plan to help the SAA regain the initiative appears to be: hold the line in and around Aleppo, using heavy bombers if necessary flying all the way from the Mozdok base in the Caucasus to pummel jihadist lines, while advancing east of Palmyra against Daesh. The fact that the U.S. and its allies cannot openly complain too much about combined SAA/Russian  and Hezbollah successes against the Islamic State seems to be key to Putin's present strategy...

Jihadists Suffer Defeat Southwest of Aleppo, Israeli Disinfo Reports 2013 Air Strikes near Damascus as New, ISIS Threatens Russia While Taking Credit for Suicide Blasts in Lebanon

The Syrian Arab Army's victory in lifting the nearly three-year siege of the Kuweires military airport backed by weeks of Russian air strikes is paying off for the SAA and its Iranian/Iraqi Shi'a allies. Pro-Syria rebel sources are admitting the southwestern flank of the jihadists' stronghold in Aleppo buckled Thursday, with the loss of two key towns defending the approaches to the city. With the SAA's elite Tiger forces and the battle hardened Iraqi Shi'a fighters under the command of Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps Gen. Qassem Soleimani advancing on the Aleppo-Raqqa highway, not only Daesh but also the 'moderate' jihadist groups inside Aleppo risk losing their precious supply lines from Turkey to an early winter offensive. Given this fact it's no wonder supporters of the non-ISIS jihadists on Twitter like #JihadiJulian Roepcke of the German NATO propaganda rag Bild can scarcely conceal the panic in the rebels' ranks.

By negotiating with the Jordanians to cut off the supplies for the jihadists south of Damascus and Daraa and alleging that some 'moderate' Syrian rebels provided the Russian air force with targeting data on the other groups, Russian psychological warfare aims to break apart whatever weak cohesiveness the jihadist forces had and make them suspect each other of selling out to the enemy. RT and pro-Syrian government media/social media outlets are spreading reports about the heretofore barely existent 'moderates' of the 'Free Syrian Army' or other groups negotiating directly with Moscow. The Russian air force has also bombed jihadist targets nearly within sight of the Israel-controlled Golan Heights over the last two weeks, sending the message to the Salafists that their unofficial 'air cover' from the Israeli Air Force and IDF artillery fire is gone.

Israel Makes Up Air Strikes with old Footage from 2013 (and Pre-Russian Air Force in Latakia) to Appease Its Neocon Fan Base in the U.S./UK

Speaking of Israel, some Israeli media sources, neocons and 'Free Syrian Army' fanboys on Twitter were boasting that the IAF had hit the Damascus airport with an air strike earlier this week. As it turned out, pro-Syrian government Internet warriors quickly revealed that the video supposedly depicting the strike tweeted by 'FSA' social media accounts actually dated back to 2013. Oops! Somebody call @EliotHiggins and the @Bellingcat team! Oh wait, they're not interested in debunking these fakes...

https://twitter.com/judymorris3/status/664437690020966400

As the Russia Analyst suspected when the first 'reports' of Israeli strikes since Russia's intervention in Syria were posted last weekend, it appears there's an ongoing disinformation campaign to convince American and British neocons that the Israelis are violating Syrian air space routinely despite the Russian presence. In fact, we believe the Israelis may be lying to appease neocon politicians like Sen. John McCain or Ms. John McCain Lindsey 'Queenie' Graham who are furious over Russia having imposed a de facto no fly zone over Assad controlled territory. As the 1980s pop song goes, 'tell me lies, tell me sweet little lies' and in this case McCain/Graham would rather have Bibi lie to them and to an audience at the American Enterprise Institute than admit the truth -- that he cut a deal with Putin. Otherwise Russian jets would not be dropping bombs just a few miles from Israeli Army Golani Brigade observation posts.

As the Russia Analyst Predicted, the Russian/Syrian/Iranian Winter Offensive is Well Underway

Given the history of many Arab armies as well as jihadist forces, when confidence in commanders is lost, panic tends to spread quickly through the ranks and positions that had been fiercely defended crumble. In U.S. military jargon coined during the First Gulf War, the mixture of psyops intended to demoralize the enemy and force applied at key points of weakness like the southern suburbs of Aleppo or the highway from the city to ISIS Raqqa stronghold is known as 'Effects-based operations'. As the Russian general staff carefully studied Operation Desert Storm, we can expect moves like 'Stormin Norman's' famous left hook to rout Saddam Hussein's army in late February 1991 applied against ISIS vulnerable southern flank near the ancient city of Palmyria, now that Daesh is under pressure from the Kurds and the SAA in the north.

Meanwhile, stinging from its battlefield defeats and arms cache losses to Russian airpower, Daesh took credit for a double tap suicide bombing attack that left scores of people dead in Beirut, the capitol of Lebanon.

The initial New York Times headline on the blasts that may have involved two other bombers who failed to detonate described the neighborhood hit as a 'Hezbollah stronghold':

Russian-Saudi/UAE Meetings in Sochi: Results? And a Few Thoughts on Divine Providence

Russian-Saudi/UAE Meetings in Sochi: Results? And a Few Thoughts on Divine Providence

Trying to make sense of the all-out Syria proxy war now directly involving Russia is a headache. Yesterday's enemy can quickly become today's 'frenemy'. Example: what to make of the Saudi and UAE crown princes visiting Putin and the Formula 1 races in Sochi this week, just five weeks after they met at Moscow's MAKS air show?First, we'd like to make a brief point in response to what RogueMoney reader Joyann said. Joyann has concerns that the RM Brain Trust might be getting too caught up in the East vs. West/Eurasian axis battling the Anglo-American Empire dialectic. That is, the same 'Obama bad, Putin good' or 'Putin bad, Obama good' dialectic the 'godfather' of the RM Brain Trust 'W' the Intelligence Insider has warned against. After listening to myself and the Guerrilla's broadcasts over the last two Fridays, she's concerned about portraying the Russians and Iranians as the 'good guys' in Syria where Assad's forces have the assorted alCIAeda and GCC-funded jihadists on the run from a Russian/combined arms offensive.
