The Other Mideast War: Saudi/UAE Siege of Hodeidah Fails, Houthis Step Up Attacks Inside the Kingdom

The Other Mideast War: Saudi/UAE Siege of Hodeidah Fails, Houthis Step Up Attacks Inside the Kingdom

With the global media’s eyes will be fixed Monday on the summit between Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump at Helsinki, Finland, Syria is expected to be the main topic of negotiations between the world’s two leading military powers. Israeli media in particular have extensively covered a prospective bargain between Putin and Trump, whereby invited Iranian forces withdraw from Syria in return for the U.S. pulling its troops out of its uninvited and thereby illegal under international law bases east of the Euphrates River. Some Israelis, affiliated with the neocons, having bitterly denounced Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for allegedly placing naive trust in Putin’s word, while foreign policy realists have pointed out the Russian leader cannot make the Iranians leave Syria — even if he wanted to do so.

However, as RogueMoney readers are aware, there is another conflict besides the proxy war with Iran in Syria, that petrodollar linchpin Saudi Arabia has been losing since 2015. This one is much closer to home and therefore more dangerous to the Saudi monarchy than losing influence in the Levant. The defection of a prince from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to Qatar, Riyadh’s gas-rich Sunni rival, has shined a spotlight on the Emiratis casualties in the Yemen War, and serious dissension inside the Emirates ruling houses regarding the Saudi-led coalition’s quagmire.

Since the Saudis broke off diplomatic relations with Doha in June 2017, Qatar’s Al-Jazeera channel has relentlessly covered the staggering humanitarian costs of the Saudis war on Yemen, as well as the Kingdom’s covered up combat deaths which Western media outlets, fearing expulsion from the country, fail to cover. On Sunday, Putin handed Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani a ceremonial FIFA soccer ball symbolizing Qatar’s 2022 hosting of the World Cup.

Syraq SITREP 60: Putin and Trump Plan Syria Talks at Helsinki Summit, Neocons Claim Kremlin and Iran Plotting Attacks on U.S. Troops

Syraq SITREP 60: Putin and Trump Plan Syria Talks at Helsinki Summit, Neocons Claim Kremlin and Iran Plotting Attacks on U.S. Troops

The Syrian Arab Army is achieving rapid advances as part of Operation Basalt. Many ‘Free Syrian Army’ militants are surrendering without a fight, and a few have joined in the pro-government forces offensive against the Al-Qaeda linked jihadists. According to CNN, President Trump told King Abdullah during their meeting last week in Washington that he intends to strike a deal with Russian President Vladimir V. Putin to facilitate the withdrawal of American troops from the Al Tanf area bordering Jordan and Iraq. U.S. backed Kurdish fighters recently clashed with pro-government militias near the extensive deconfliction line the Americans enforce around their illegal under international law base. The Russian Defense Ministry has complained the Americans use al-Tanf to harbor and re-train former ISIS terrorists.

Naturally, The Wall Street Journal’s editorial board and reporters are disturbed, while the neocons are enraged that Trump would make any concessions to the Russians. But Trump reportedly intends to demand — in return for a phased American withdrawal — the complete exit of Iranian, Hezbollah and pro-Iranian Shi’a foreign fighters from Syria. Even with the great prestige Russia enjoys among its Syrian allies and frenemies in the Turks alike, it isn’t clear Putin can deliver on this demand. Damascus has hosted at least a few Iranian military advisers since the early 1980s.

Also, the prospect of a false flag operation, either against U.S. troops or a chemical attack on Syrian civilians to be blamed on Assad, is not to be taken lightly. If the globalists cannot stop the Trump-Putin summit now set for July 16 in the Finnish capital Helsinki, the neocons appear hellbent on spoiling or blocking any positive outcomes from it…

Oman Is A Key Regional Partner In The Belt And Road Initiative

Oman Is A Key Regional Partner In The Belt And Road Initiative

We have discussed previously on many occasions, that the Middle East will become a major hub within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).  This is none more apparent than in Oman, which has already seen considerable Chinese investment, whereby China intends to invest up to 11 billion US dollars in Duqm, an Omani fishing village situated between the Gulfs of Oman and Aden.

The Duqm Special Economic Zone (SEZAD) is a significant development within Oman’s intention to diversify its economy beyond the oil and gas sectors. A Chinese consortium, consisting of six private firms, is currently developing over 25 projects for an industrial park consisting of a logistics centre, a commercial harbour and tourist site to include a solar energy operation, an automobile assembly factory and an oil refinery.

Saudis Admit Over 1,000 Killed in Action in Yemen War as Kingdom-led Coalition Besieges Hodeida Port on the Red Sea

Saudis Admit Over 1,000 Killed in Action in Yemen War as Kingdom-led Coalition Besieges Hodeida Port on the Red Sea

While the conflict in Syria appears to be winding down amidst talks between the Americans and Israelis on one side and the Russian/Turkish/Iranian victors on the other, the war in Yemen appears far from over. In the past week, the Saudi Kingdom has issued photos of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in an attempt to dispel rumors of MBS’ demise or severe injury in a palace putsch weeks earlier, when gunfire filmed by Saudi subjects on their smartphones echoed in Riyadh. The Saudis told the media palace guards had opened fire in response to a recreational drone that had been considered a threat, and that MBS father King Salman was not at home when the shooting happened in April.

Nonetheless, despite the Crown Prince attending a WWE match in Jeddah (complete with Iranian American ‘heels’ drawing boos from the Saudi spectators) and other public appearances since the palace drone incident, rumors persist that MBS is facing not just external enemies like the Houthis, who launch missiles at the Kingdom and kill its soldiers in brazen cross border raids, but fierce internal opposition from his own extended clan. Another shooting incident caught on video and posted to social media around May 30, this time filmed at a Saudi National Guard base in Taif near Mecca, will only add to the speculation that the House of Saud is a house divided.

Italian Coalition ‘Contract’ Is Declaration of War against EU and Its Austerity Policy

Ever since the U.S. and UK demanded the EU impose sanctions after Crimea’s reunification with Russia in 2014, Italy’s agriculture, fashion and manufacturing industries have chafed under the burden. After Moscow imposed counter-sanctions that hurt Italian cheese and produce exports to Russia, the already weak southern EU economies have suffered tens of billions in lost trade with the Eurasian giant to the east, while Germany has continued to experience modest growth and increased its Russian gas imports. Now at the very moment the EU core states of France and Germany are making noises about the bloc defying American sanctions being reimposed against Iran, the Italians are forming a new governing coalition that is calling for dropping the European Union’s trade restrictions with Russia…

"Now It All Starts To Make Sense"

"Now It All Starts To Make Sense"

A foreign enemy of the United States—the British Empire's intelligence services and their allies in the FBI and on Wall Street—has de facto invaded the U.S. with the stated intention of staging a coup d'état against the elected President and the Constitution, in order to reverse his policies of constructing peaceful cooperation with Russia and China, and marching the world back from the brink of war. The British cannot stand for any deviation from the war trajectory of their Bush and Obama administrations, because the survival of their entire system of global geopolitics and financial looting depends on it. Since President Trump was elected by the American people to reverse the Obama policies and do just that, the British et al. are now trying to impeach and jail him, and the truth be damned.

The approach they are taking, and even the cast of characters involved, is nearly identical to the "Get LaRouche" taskforce they deployed some 30 years ago to unjustly jail Lyndon LaRouche and numerous of his associates, in their unsuccessful effort to silence his voice.

Coup-Plotters Frantic To Sabotage Trump's Asia Trip

Coup-Plotters Frantic To Sabotage Trump's Asia Trip

As President Trump prepares to leave for Asia this week, for crucial meetings with Xi Jinping, Shinzo Abe, Rodrigo Duterte, Moon Jae-in, and perhaps also Vladimir Putin — meetings which could bring the United States directly into sync with the new paradigm for mankind emerging from China's New Silk Road process — the British Empire's flunkies in the U.S. are frantically trying to discredit or even indict the President, to sabotage his intention to form friendly and constructive relations with China and Russia.

Legal assassin Robert Mueller's indictments of Paul Manafort, who was briefly Trump's campaign manager in 2016, and George Papadopoulos, who was likely a British plant in Trump's transition team (with no apparent influence), has been plastered all over the nation's press as if it were the first blow in bringing Trump down. Trump responded with tweets saying that the charges against Manafort have nothing to do with either himself, nor with Russia, adding that "Few people knew the young, low level volunteer named George, who has already proven to be a liar." David Gergen, the CNN commentator, gave it away Monday night by warning Trump that he should not undertake his Asian trip while he is facing such a deadly legal attack. Hogwash.

Yemen's Foreign Minister Sends Message of Gratitude to Helga and the LaRouche Movement

Yemen's Foreign Minister Sends Message of Gratitude to Helga and the LaRouche Movement

The Saudi war of aggression against Yemen has dragged on for over two and a half years, claiming thousands of innocent lives and placing millions on the brink of starvation. In addition to fueling hatred for American foreign policy due to the U.S. and British government's major logistical and intelligence support for the Saudis blockade and bombing of civilian areas, the conflict is also blocking the inclusion of what had been the poorest country in the Arab world into the One Belt One Road (OBOR)/Maritime New Silk Road connected to nearby East Africa and the expanded Suez Canal.

The following is an open letter from Yemeni Foreign Minister Hisham Sharaf to Helga Zepp LaRouche, thanking her for the LaRouche movement's solidarity with the suffering Yemeni people and advocacy for their human rights to live and develop. -- JWS
