On Friday Russian President Vladimir Putin said while in South Africa for the BRICS Summit that he had invited U.S. President Donald Trump to Moscow for talks. The Administration reciprocated later in the day, saying Putin is welcome to visit the White House next year. Despite major Senate opposition and hysterical press and social media cries of ‘treason!’, the two sides are slowly working towards easing tensions. The response from the British-led trans-Atlantic deep state and their front men in Congress has been to propose more sanctions and accuse Moscow of hacking into the U.S. power grid and the campaign of Missouri Democratic Sen. Claire McCaskill.
The deep state dead-enders are doubling down on the Russiagate scandal, with former attorney Michael Cohen contradicting his previous Senate testimony and public denials that candidate Trump did not know about a summer 2016 meeting between his son Donald Jr. and Fusion GPS paid “Russian government lawyer” provocateur Natalia Veselnitskaya at Trump Tower (Ms. Veselnitskaya was coached by Fusion GPS CEO Glenn Simpson before the meeting and after it). The President tweeted out that Cohen has likely hired old Clintons crony Lanny Davis and turned on his former patron to save himself and his Ukrainian-born father in law from an indictment over fraud in their New York taxi business — charges that, like the indictments against former campaign chair Paul Manafort, have nothing to do with Russia collusion. But they have everything to do with special counsel Robert Mueller’s desperation to find any witness who can testify for him against President Trump.

London Paul returns to The Sirius Report on a Thursday edition of the RogueMoneyRadio program. He talks about Belt and Road Initiative advocate and old Nixon hand Henry Kissinger, the failing strategy to drive a wedge between Moscow and Beijing, and CIA/FBI hyping the China threat. Paul believes the Administration’s truce in Trump’s trade war with the EU is incompatible with sanctioning European countries for doing business with Iran. Paul also believes China holds all the high cards in the Pacific trade war. — JWS

The Syrian Arab Army is achieving rapid advances as part of Operation Basalt. Many ‘Free Syrian Army’ militants are surrendering without a fight, and a few have joined in the pro-government forces offensive against the Al-Qaeda linked jihadists. According to CNN, President Trump told King Abdullah during their meeting last week in Washington that he intends to strike a deal with Russian President Vladimir V. Putin to facilitate the withdrawal of American troops from the Al Tanf area bordering Jordan and Iraq. U.S. backed Kurdish fighters recently clashed with pro-government militias near the extensive deconfliction line the Americans enforce around their illegal under international law base. The Russian Defense Ministry has complained the Americans use al-Tanf to harbor and re-train former ISIS terrorists.
Naturally, The Wall Street Journal’s editorial board and reporters are disturbed, while the neocons are enraged that Trump would make any concessions to the Russians. But Trump reportedly intends to demand — in return for a phased American withdrawal — the complete exit of Iranian, Hezbollah and pro-Iranian Shi’a foreign fighters from Syria. Even with the great prestige Russia enjoys among its Syrian allies and frenemies in the Turks alike, it isn’t clear Putin can deliver on this demand. Damascus has hosted at least a few Iranian military advisers since the early 1980s.
Also, the prospect of a false flag operation, either against U.S. troops or a chemical attack on Syrian civilians to be blamed on Assad, is not to be taken lightly. If the globalists cannot stop the Trump-Putin summit now set for July 16 in the Finnish capital Helsinki, the neocons appear hellbent on spoiling or blocking any positive outcomes from it…Read More
Austrian media, TASS and Russian TV have confirmed that the Trump-Putin summit is planned for July 15 in Vienna. While we are still a long way from the ‘G3’ (U.S.-China-Russia) summit the Asia Times journalist Pepe “empire of chaos” Escobar sources and others are hinting at, or the G4 of USA-Russia-China-India alignment that the LaRouche Movement has advocated for years, the balance of power is clearly changing. China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) in particular is rapidly shifting the geopolitics in Europe, to the point that we are now seeing anti-Chinese government segments on prime time HBO comedy shows.
There is still enough time before the meeting planned for after the NATO summit in Brussels on July 11 and 12 for some sort of incident to be manufactured — such as a chemical weapons attack, or an alleged altercation between U.S. and Russian forces in Syria. Nonetheless, it appears as of this week that the so-called moderate Syrian rebels along the Golan Heights have been told not to expect any military intervention on their behalf, despite vague threats against Assad’s government liberating Syrian territory made by State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert and UN Ambassador Nikki Haley.
As Harley Schlanger wrote for the Schiller Institute and RogueMoney this weekend, Trump’s defiance of Washington’s Cold War 2 consensus and the unraveling of RussiaGate with the FBI’s former no. 2 counterintelligence agent Peter Strzok being subpoenaed to testify before Congress are very good news for Americans and the world. Deep State actors up to their eyeballs in politicizing or outright fabricating intelligence, led by former CIA Director John Brennan, are tweet-projecting their fear of exposure onto the President. The tide may be turning against a second Cold War and toward a radical rethink of alliances and global trade. — JWSRead More
“What does the British government know about Trump and Russia? Many trails in the Mueller inquiry lead straight to the UK” is the headline of an article published this week in the UK Spectator by BBC journalist Paul Wood. The nominally editorial independent, British taxpayer funded BBC and Mr. Wood have been advancing the RussiaGate Narrative almost from the beginning, in the weeks before Trump’s inauguration, leading up to the presentation to the President elect of the ‘dirty dossier’ by ‘ex’ MI6 agent Christopher Steele, and the planned leaking of it to Buzzfeed (now facing along with Steele, multiple lawsuits for libel). Then Director of National Intelligence James Clapper and FBI Director James Comey justified briefing Trump on the dossier by saying they were aware CNN was working on the story, which makes Clapper’s hiring by the same news network he almost certainly leaked the dossier to appear to be a corrupt transaction.
More recently, Mr. Wood reported — without presenting any evidence to contradict strong denials from Kiev — that former Trump attorney Michael Cohen was bribed by the Ukrainians in return for a 2017 White House photo op meeting between President Petro Poroshenko and POTUS. Despite his disgraceful track record of simply reporting rumors and innuendo (if not calculated British intelligence smears of Trump) as fact under a BBC byline, Mr. Wood’s Spectator article is important for three reasons…Read More
It is becoming more and more clear — to the great pain of all denizens of the old, "liberal" Atlanticist order — that President Donald Trump is fully breaking from a Europe dominated by British geopolitics, to engage the United States with Asia.
Asia is being catalyzed by China's Belt and Road Initiative to the forefront of the future — space and science breakthoughs, great projects of modern infrastructure, elimination of poverty. President Trump, who for two years has fought British Intelligence's campaign to get him out of office, is now rejecting every London-spawned scheme to line him up in confrontation with China and Russia, and is looking to great-power cooperation with Asia. This has brought him to the extremely difficult attempt to end Korea's 70 years' war.

NOTE: This is our 58th Syraq SITREP written for RogueMoney. Barring any major U.S. or Israeli strikes in Syria, the Russian Analyst plans to publish fewer Syraq SITREPs on RM this summer.
The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) is preparing for a major offensive to liberate the southern part of the country from jihadists who serve as a buffer between Damascus southern outskirts and the Israeli occupied Golan Heights. This offensive will be led by the SAA’s elite Tiger Forces commanded by Brigadier General Suheil Hassan (portrayed with Russian airpower art on the left) and the 4th Armored Division.
However, Islamic State remnants which have been attacking across the Euphrates River from territory nominally controlled by the U.S. and its Kurdish Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) allies forced the SAA to delay the big push south. Syrian government forces have beaten back Daesh at Abu Kamal, a city that borders Iraq’s Al-Qaim which is the overland linkage between Damascus and friendly forces from Baghdad. SAA units also went on the offensive against ISIS in the southeastern Badiya Al-Sham region, killing over 20 Daesh terrorists near Sweida. But SAA fighting with ISIS units operating from American controlled territory continues.
Speaking on Friday at a NATO forum in Brussels, Defense Secretary James Mattis vowed to keep U.S. occupation forces in Syria indefinitely after the elimination of the remaining ISIS pockets along the Syrian-Iraqi border, saying a hasty withdrawal of American troops would be a “strategic blunder”.Read More
At least four Russian military advisers are dead and several wounded after an ISIS attack on a Syrian Arab Army position in a government controlled part of Deir Ez Zor province. RT.com reports the Russian Defense Ministry said 43 Daesh terrorists and six vehicles used by the attackers were destroyed. Additional details about the attack were not provided, but the so-called Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (one guy living over a shop in Coventry, UK) claimed that nine Russian soldiers died in the hour long firefight.
Prior to the fight this weekend, the SAA had been moving troops freed up from the defeat of jihadist pockets around Damascus to clean out the remaining ISIS remnants in the Homs desert. ISIS may have received reinforcements of its own from several hundred militants who escaped before the south and east Damascus encirclement. The likely response of the Russian forces will be more air strikes guided by spetsnaz units to hunt down the remaining terrorists. We can likely expect to see more Iraqi Air Force strikes on Daesh units in territory nominally controlled by the Americans as part of their temporary demarcation along the Euphrates agreement with the Russians. Moscow’s Defense Ministry is also likely to reproach the Americans for not doing enough against the common ISIS terrorist enemy, who noticeably leaves U.S. and French bases in the Kurdish dominated areas alone.Read More

Israel allegedly followed up on last week's barrage of U.S.-British and French cruise missiles fired against the Syrian government. However the Israeli Air Force (IAF) attack on a base near Homs supposedly targeting Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) personnel was said to use non-kinetic electronic warfare. Syrian commanders blamed the Israelis use of jamming from jets flying over Lebanon for making their country's air defense operators shoot off missiles, while being fooled into thinking that they were under attack. Perhaps envious of the Russian 'off switch' that may have taken down a large number of the missiles fired by the Anglo-Americans (at least two intact 'smart' missiles have reportedly been transferred from the Syrians to the Russians according to TASS) on the night of April 13-14, the Israelis may have wanted to demonstrate that they too, can pack an electronic punch.
Israeli evaluations leaked to the press of the President Trump-ordered air strikes were that they represented a 'failure', because only three Syrian sites were destroyed. The American missiles missed the alleged chemical weapons the Assad government allegedly hid or produced since surrendering its CW arsenal to international inspectors in 2013-14. The logical follow up question then, with Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) multinational representatives on the ground in Damascus and headed for the nearby town of Douma to investigate an alleged gas attack, is why Washington and Tel Aviv do not immediately direct inspectors to sites where their intelligence services believe the Syrians are hiding toxic weaponry? As retired Army Col. DIA analyst Pat Lang noted about his time providing intel to UNSCOM, when Saddam Hussein remained in power after Iraq's crushing defeat in the 1991 Gulf War, UN inspectors were directed by American intelligence to chemical and biological weapons production sites, where WMD materials were found and peacefully dismantled. Of course, we don't see such referrals using intel from CIA and Mossad, because the alleged Syrian chemical arsenal is being used as a pretext for American and Israeli strikes on an ally of Russia and above all, Iran. What's clear is that there were no chemical weapons stored or produced at the three sites U.S.-UK missiles flattened (while France had an alleged failure to launch its weaponry). Otherwise the Syrian clean up crews and photojournalists who filmed the rubble would've shown symptoms of exposure. It's also evident that the Americans and British are increasingly nervous that their story about the evil Assad gassing children in Douma which was used to justify the missile strikes is falling apart, despite the legacy media’s propaganda.
The Washington Post of Monday, April 16, portrays President Trump as surrounded by a traitorous foreign policy team which is lying to him constantly and persistently about Russia and actions this team has taken in the President’s name, in your name, against Russia and China. The Post attempts to claim that Trump’s national security staff staged a palace coup against him concerning Russia and Syria and that Trump lost the battle. But the President responded immediately by acting against the traitors around him. He scuttled the appointment of Nikki Haley’s assistant, the Never-Trumper Jon Lemer, for a national security post with Mike Pence. The White House announced that new sanctions against Russia, based on Russia’s support for Syria, which Nikki Haley promoted only yesterday, were being rolled back. It was publicly announced that President Trump still wants to meet with Vladimir Putin, although a date has not yet been set.
At the same time, French President Macron bragged to the world that it was he who duped the President into a missile attack on Syria, reviving the very Clinton/Obama regime change doctrines the American people righteously rejected in the 2016 elections. This only sets the stage for ferocious blowback on the President of France.

It does not matter whether 10 Rod Rosensteins at the Department of Justice "signed off" on the sweeping FBI raids against President Trump's personal attorney; the protections of the Fourth and Sixth Amendments to the United States Constitution are being taken away from the American President. The goal is to remove the President from office; and the immediate aim, and extreme danger, is war with Syria and Russia.
The United States Constitution is being set aside in order to seize foreign policy, and the Oval Office itself, from President Trump, and put the United States back on the "permanent war,"/"regime-change war" status of Bush and Obama. The American voters are being left to watch helplessly — unless they act now, in large numbers.Read More
On Tuesday morning, alleged novichok nerve agent poisoning victim and Russian citizen Yulia Skripal was released from a Salisbury hospital. British media claimed she was being taken to an undisclosed location for her and her father's security, but the real motivation of the UK government appears to be keeping Yulia from communicating with the press, especially the Russian media, and from making any more phone calls to her cousin in Russia that will end up on Russian TV. The released recording of Yulia's call to her cousin appeared to contradict both the Theresa May government's claims that Yulia was poisoned by Russian agents she still fears with a toxin ten times deadlier than VX; and that Yulia's internationally recognized rights under UK ratified treaty laws to consular access by her Embassy have not been violated.
Now even the British tabloid press has picked up on complaints from Yulia's extended family that she is not free to speak to them or return to Russia. Not for nothing are we seeing reports that the Skripals will be sent to the USA and given new identities by the FBI witness protection program 'for their own protection' from presumably further poisoning attempts by agents of Vladimir Putin, if not normal contact with their relatives in Russia -- who have been denied visas by the British government...which they've said has something to hide. This failed propaganda offensive by the British, which resulted in the expulsion of Russian diplomats by many NATO countries -- but not a decisive economic breach between Moscow and countries pivotal to its energy trade led by Germany and Austria -- set the stage for the staged chemical attack in Douma. Which is now the latest pretext for an Anglo-American attack on Syria. -- JWSRead More
The clash between a commander in chief who claims to be determined to shake up how Washington does things and the Swamp/established bureaucracies apparently continued on Thursday, when President Donald Trump suggested in a speech to Ohio workers that U.S. forces would leave Syria soon. The mission of 'knocking the hell out of ISIS' Trump declared, had been accomplished and, "We're coming out of Syria very soon. Let the other people take care of it now, very soon. Very soon, we're coming out."
The question of what was the official U.S. position if not that of the President was pushed to the Pentagon, who punted to the White House, and the State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert declared herself unaware of any change in policy. Astute RogueMoney readers will note this is the same Nauert who declared the Russians were playing the victims following their expulsion of 60 American diplomats and closure of the U.S. consulate in St. Petersburg, in retaliation for Washington shutting down the Russians' Seattle consulate and booting sixty Russian diplomats or alleged spies under diplomatic cover. The so-called Skripal affair and the failing British attempt to 'link' the alleged use of nerve agent against one of their Russian assets on UK soil to (false flag) chemical weapons attacks in Syria being the stated justification for the harsh American measures against Russia's diplomatic missions to the U.S. and UN. Nauert also compared, in a bizarre press conference metaphor she used this week, the Russian state to some beast from the deep with many tentacles.
Even after forcing out Russophobic national security adviser H.R. McMaster, only to replace him with neocon bomb-bomb-bomb Iran enthusiast John Bolton, the contrast between Trump and his cabinet and the agencies that nominally follow his lead remains extreme. As MSM articles covering Trump's seemingly off the cuff promise to withdraw U.S. troops from Syria made clear, the Pentagon under Secretary of Defense James Mattis has refused to give any timetable for an American withdrawal from the territory liberated from ISIS it's (illegally) occupying east of the Euphrates. But Trump's hint at 'letting others take care of it' meaning the remnants of ISIS or Al-Qaeda (also known to RM readers as al-CIA-eda) strongly suggests that our friend at LaRouchePAC Harley Schlanger is correct, and the President's instincts are to cooperate with the Russians and Turks in establishing a durable peace deal in Syria. Which is precisely the opposite of what rabidly anti-Iran hawks like UN Ambassador Nikki Haley and John Bolton Trump appointed and who serve at his pleasure are demanding...and what Trump's BFFs in Israel are suggesting with their braggadocio about 'stealth' F35 missions through Syria and Iraq's air space to strike Hezbollah and Assad's patrons in Iran.Read More
On the night of Sunday March 26, 2018 a Houthi ballistic missile targeted at Riyadh appeared in the skies over the Saudi capital. What happened next is still being reported, but it appears a U.S.-built Patriot missile launched to intercept the incoming Yemeni rocket around midnight local time careened into the ground, perhaps striking an apartment block. The Patriot fail was captured on amateur video as sonic booms echoed through the streets. Riyadh has said one man was killed and two people were injured by falling debris from the allegedly intercepted Houthi rockets (perhaps it was death by Patriot), with other Yemeni missiles fired overnight at the southern Saudi Kingdom cities of Najran, Jizan and Khamis Mushait.
The Drive reports that "Yemen's SABA News agency claims the missile fired at Riyadh was indeed a Burkan H2 belonging to Houthi rebels, the same type fired at Riyadh International Airport back in November." Burkan means 'volcano' and is a longer range derivative of the SCUD missile, similar to the rockets Saddam Hussein launched at Saudi Arabia and Israel during the first Gulf War. The Yemeni missile strikes retaliating for Saudi aggression against the poorest country in the Arab world comes hours after Crown Prince Mohamed bin Salman toured the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the Boston, and is clearly a calculated slap by the Houthis at 'MBS' and his American/Israeli allies. The Associated Press also reported Monday morning that roadside bombs disguised as rocks found in Yemen appear similar to those used by Hezbollah in Lebanon.
On March 20 Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu announced that three attempts by jihadists to use chemical arms in Syria had been foiled. The following day the commander of Russia's nuclear, chemical and biological defense troops Igor Kirillov declared during a press conference about the poisoning of ex-GRU agent Sergey Skripal in the United Kingdom that Syrian government forces had captured forty tons of poisonous substances the jihadis intended to use for staged chemical attacks to be blamed on the Assad government. Kirillov's comparison of the attempted chemical false flags in Syria with the poisoning of Sergei Skripal in Great Britain blamed by the HMG on Russia elicited outraged tweets from the usual neocon fanatics. The translated text of the joint Russian MFA/MoD press conference can be found here at the Vineyard of the Saker website.
Russian MoD warnings that Syrian militants both 'moderate' and Al-Qaeda linked had tried to stage chemical false flags but failed were followed by Pentagon statements that they had observed a build up of pro-Damascus forces close to the Euphrates River deconfliction line. The Americans vowed to defend themselves from any Syrian government attacks, without presenting any legal basis under international law for carving out their quasi-permanent zone of occupation inside Syria. Meanwhile, Syrian government media outlets accused the U.S. Army of evacuating ISIS personnel on Blackhawk helicopters as the Daesh terror group launched isolated attacks in the greater east Damascus countryside and against security forces across the border in Iraq. The U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff USMC Gen. Joseph Dunford announced productive deconfliction talks this week with his counterpart, Russian Chief of Staff Valery Gerasimov.Read More
