Events in Washington and on the periphery of Central Asia this weekend would appear to corroborate the Turks around Erdogan's sense of being thrown under the bus by their NATO allies, as well as facing renewed pressure from the Russians. The question now becomes whether what we're seeing take place in Syria with renewed offensives by 'moderate rebel' and jihadist groups that had been reluctant parties to the U.S. and Russian negotiated ceasefire, as well as Azerbaijan's attack on the Armenian enclave of Nagorno-Karabkh are part of Ankara's response to being squeezed from all sides.
