Russia Hails Israel’s Strike against Islamic State Terrorists in Syria

Russia Hails Israel’s Strike against Islamic State Terrorists in Syria

The Russian Analyst has been writing about the growing ties between Israel and Russia for some time. While it would still be wrong to say the former frenemies who found themselves on opposite sides of the Syria proxy war are now allies, a new chapter is being written in relations between Moscow and Tel Aviv. While Russiagate hysteria and calls for new sanctions dominate Congress, both pro-Israel Congressmen and the legacy media do their best to pretend U.S. BFF Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and America’s supposed mortal enemy and Trump puppeteer Vladimir Putin do not have business-like relations. Much of that has to do with pragmatism, and Netanyahu recognizing that the ‘moderate’ Syria rebels have lost the war and the Kurds under American protection are cutting deals with Damascus. Another component is the fact that 1/7th of Israel’s population speaks Russian at home or has a relative who do so, and Israeli businessmen wanting to get Leviathan field natural gas from the Mediterranean into the Turkstream pipeline to Europe.

At any rate the Russian Defense Ministry issuing a rare note of praise for their Israeli counterparts for finally hitting ISIS in Syria rather than abetting them through air strikes on Russia’s allies in the Syrian Arab Army is noteworthy. The extensive talks between Netanyahu and Putin plus the Helsinki Summit are already bearing fruit, even if the U.S./UK legacy media ignore these subtle results. — JWS

Putin BRICS Remarks Imply Need for New Monetary System

Putin BRICS Remarks Imply Need for New Monetary System

Friday’s 4.1% GDP growth rate announcement was an encouraging sign for President Trump’s #MAGA agenda, as are the first signs of real wage growth in over a decade. But the core problems of massive debt at all levels of government, plus the unfunded liabilities of bloated American military and ‘health care’ spending remain. Private borrowing — particularly in the overheated Anglosphere housing markets from London to Vancouver — is also unsustainable (including the stupid headlines about how Millennials should throw fewer bachelor parties if they want to save for a house and inexplicably sluggish sales amidst 2007-08 exceeding prices for homes). Commercial real estate from failing North American shopping malls represent the first canaries dropping in the coal mine before a worse crash than the 2008 collapse — though President Trump is buying Americans critical time.

Emerging market crises, while beneficial to the dollar in the short run, remain corrosive to the greenback’s dominance over the long haul, as countries like Turkey and Argentina seek to escape the boom-bust dollar loans cycle. Another factor undermining King Dollar is of course, the failing U.S./EU sanctions imposed on Eurasian energy giant Russia as part of Cold War II, which have spurred Moscow to make oil transactions outside of the SWIFT payments structure and in rubles, yuan or local currencies. Mindful of the foreign debt and liquidity traps Latin Americans (including the Brazilians) have repeatedly fallen into through the 20th and 21st centuries, Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke on the topic of inevitable de-dollarization at this year’s BRICS Summit in Johannesburg. — JWS

Hysteria Dominates Official Response in U.S. to Trump-Putin Summit

Hysteria Dominates Official Response in U.S. to Trump-Putin Summit

July 20 -- In reaction to the outpouring of rage, bitterness and hysteria towards him following his successful summit and press conference with Russian President Vladimir Putin on July 16 in Helsinki, Finland, President Donald Trump sent out a tweet on July 18 which further angered his opponents.  "Some people HATE the fact that I got along well with President Putin of Russia," he wrote.  "They would rather go to war than see this.  It's called Trump Derangement Syndrome.

Responding to this in her July 19 Schiller Institute webcast, Helga Zepp LaRouche said it is not simply "Trump Derangement Syndrome...some of these people really have a deranged mind...they are deranged; because any peace-loving person in the world, should be happy about this," referring to the result of the summit (*****see article on summit).

How then should one assess the overwhelming rancor toward Trump exhibited by his political opponents in both parties, the intelligence community and the mainstream media?  Is it possible that the anti-Trump networks really would prefer to go to war with Russia, than to engage in dialogue?  And does this represent the view of the American people?

LaRouchePAC Statement: Mueller Issues Fake Indictment; Brits In Rug- Chewing Fit That Putin And Trump Might Accomplish Peace

LaRouchePAC Statement: Mueller Issues Fake Indictment; Brits In Rug- Chewing Fit That Putin And Trump Might Accomplish Peace

(July 13, 2018) Desperate to head off a possible accommodation between President Trump and President Putin, which could result in a principled approach to a viable peace, the British, Robert Mueller, and the "resist" holdover forces in the U.S. intelligence community and news media have staged a trifecta of calculated information warfare operations within the last 24 hours to sabotage the summit.

In the United States, two inter-related events occurred. First, embattled FBI Agent Peter Strzok appeared before a joint House hearing on Thursday to claim that the Republicans on the House Judiciary and Government Oversight Committees were doing "Putin's work" for him by continuing to examine the British and Obama Administration/Democratic Party origins of Russiagate. Strzok's charge, obviously choreographed with Congressional Democrats, was greeted by them with Jacobin cheers and endlessly cycled in the news media.

Fireworks Begin At NATO As Trump Prepares For Putin Summit

Fireworks Begin At NATO As Trump Prepares For Putin Summit

President Trump continued his demands on the NATO countries to pay their agreed share for the defense of Europe, but the question should be: defense against whom? Trump has not, as yet, repeated his charge issued during the election campaign in 2016, when he said NATO was "obsolete" and "disproportionately" too expensive, and that terrorism was the primary concern. But he has insisted, repeatedly, that "it is a good thing to be friends with Russia and China." Certainly being friends with Russia and China should render NATO obsolete.

Trump recognizes that Russia is no threat to Eastern or Western Europe, nor any other nation, and refused to characterize Russia as a "foe" on his way to the NATO summit. He has also repeatedly noted that Russia is playing a crucial part in countering terrorism, especially in Syria.

Trump's effort to establish friendly relations with Moscow, starting with the historic summit with Putin next Monday in Helsinki, is driving the British and British assets nuts.

Mueller’s Number-Two, Weissmann, Leaked Information on Manafort to AP Reporters

Mueller’s Number-Two, Weissmann, Leaked Information on Manafort to AP Reporters

July 9, 2018 (EIRNS)—Documents released July 6 show that Justice Department attorney Andrew Weissmann, known as Robert Mueller’s “pit bull,” arranged a meeting with journalists from Associated Press (AP) to discuss an investigation into Paul Manafort, President Trump’s former campaign manager, Chuck Ross reported in the Daily Caller July 8. This now-documented deputization of the press as government agents blows the lid off many so-called “national security reporters” who are nothing but willing scribes and actors in intelligence agency operations.

It is noteworthy that a similar process took place in the 1980s Federal prosecution of Lyndon LaRouche. First, based on a British demand for action, journalists were assembled under the tutelage of New York investment banker and CIA asset John Train for a series of salons aimed at destroying LaRouche’s reputation through a coordinated defamation campaign. Other longstanding government-connected opponents of LaRouche also attended the meetings, setting out story lines for reporters. Having set the terroristic and fear-laden climate, the FBI and Justice Department then moved in to urge ostracized LaRouche supporters to “compose” an altered version of events.

The Promise of the Trump-Putin Summit, and the Role of the Schiller Institute

The Promise of the Trump-Putin Summit, and the Role of the Schiller Institute

Another pre-Helsinki summit provocation? “A British counter-terrorism unit has joined the probe after a man and woman were apparently exposed to an “unknown substance” near Salisbury, London police say, as quoted by Reuters and AFP.” — RT.com

July 2, 2018 (EIRNS)—Today Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters, “No doubt, Moscow and Washington have many issues where their positions are diametrically opposed. But you see that now political resolve has prevailed, and at the moment, understanding is growing that such issues for discussion should not be an obstacle on the path to establishing and expanding bilateral dialogue, in this case at the top level.”

Peskov was referring to the July 16 Trump-Putin Summit in Helsinki, TASS reported. However, he took issue with President Trump’s statement that he planned to discuss Crimea with President Putin there. Peskov emphasized that Moscow considers recognizing Crimea as Russian is non-negotiable.
