Lame Ducks Sabotaging Detente: Obama and the CIA Trying to Screw Up Washington, U.S.-Russia Relations As Much as Possible Before Trump Takes Office

“Ex”-CIA analyst Bob Baer – the unofficial media spokesman for the Deep State – is calling for “a new election,” although he wants to “see the forensics first.” (Guess what, Bob, there are no reliable “forensics”!).

Did the millions of 'deplorables' who cast votes for Trump in places like Michigan, Ohio or Wisconsin really pay that much attention to what Wikileaks published, or did they simply absorb the #CrookedHillary label and reject decades of the Clintons' sleaze and sense of entitlement to power? Was Russia, despite the flailing efforts of Hillary Clinton and the legacy media dating back to April to make Trump's desire for improved relations so, really the central issue of this campaign? Did Trump trick the American public or his supporters, who politely and often enthusiastically applauded the idea of the U.S. and Russia destroying ISIS together, or did Trump's dirty deep state critics consistently lie about their real goals and objectives in the Middle East?

Let's assume for the sake of argumentum ad absurdum that Trump, for once in his life, did what his haters wanted. By coming out and saying, 'Yes you nameless faceless CIA guys and Hillary Clinton partisan ex-CIA directors like Mike Morrell, Michael Hayden and Leon Panetta are all impeccable, why would I ever doubt you? I guess I'm only president of the United States because my buddy Vladimir Putin personally hacked the Democrats on my behalf', wouldn't Trump be effectively surrendering his presidency (over a lie no less) before it began? Would that not in fact be tantamount to a soft coup overturning the Constitutional expression of the American people's will, as ex-CIA agent Bob Baer has recommended on national television via a 'do over' vote?

Once again, Trump and Flynn are correct in pointing out the one salient fact about the CIA: it is inept! Subsequently, it does not deserve to exist anymore. All of this was basically coded in Trump’s laconic retort: “Russian hacking is ridiculous!”

NSA/GCHQ: The Dogs That Barked But Produced No Bite or Conclusive Proof That Julian Assange and Wikileaks Work for Russian Intelligence

NSA and its British sister spy agency GCHQ's maintained around the clock surveillance of Julian Assange at the Ecuadorian Embassy in London has failed to produce a single piece of evidence proving Assange is an asset of the Russian intelligence agencies SVR/GRU/FSB. So why should president elect-Trump accept the CIA and not NSA led assessment that Putin personally ordered the hacking of the DNC and John Podesta to send their email to Wikileaks?

These are all what one may call common sense questions, which assume a premise of Russian government hacking of the DNC that, contrary to CIA stenographers like ex-AP turned NBC News reporter Ken Dilanian, is far from proven beyond reasonable doubt. And even if one accepts the findings of Crowdstrike, the firm led by a Russian-born IT specialist that was hired explicitly to confirm the Democrats' hunch that they'd been hacked by the Kremlin, there's still the missing link. Which is that no chain of custody has been demonstrated between the alleged Russian intelligence obtained source of the material and Wikileaks.

Despite the 'trust us' arguments of nameless, faceless CIA sources or individuals with Snowden related grudges against Wikileaks, Julian Assange remains one of the most surveilled human beings on the planet. Assange has also been reportedly very hands on in the day to day running of Wikileaks as well as its Twitter feed -- we know this because the Ecuadorian Embassy in London which hosts him temporarily suspended his access to social media during the heat of the presidential campaign, in order to affirm Ecuador's non-interference in the U.S. vote.  Yet neither the CIA nor the NSA whose 5Eyes partner GCHQ almost certainly has Assange's every keystroke or at least email and instant message logged for the last several years he's been holed up in the Embassy of Ecuador can produce a single instruction from a Russian intelligence operative or even the allegedly purloined DNC and Podesta 'hacks' (actually leaked) material.

VIPS Ask CIA to Produce the Proof It Almost Certainly Would Only Be Able to Obtain from the NSA, Not Just Private Firms In the Tank for the Democrats and the Atlantic Council's Cold War 2.0 Like Crowdstrike and its CEO Dmitry Alperovitch

This absence of evidence, one can argue, is not proof of absent Russian hackers, and that is well taken. However the CIA rather than NSA which is tasked with the cyber defense mission against state and non-state threat actors taking the lead on assigning blame not only to Russia but Putin personally for the DNC hacks should strike any educated person (not in the tank for Hillary or against Trump) as suspicious, if not unprecedented. Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity (VIPS) whose ranks include two world-leading experts on NSA's bulk collection systems, one of whom helped design it after 9/11 only to blow the whistle in William Binney, have this to say:

NSA is able to identify both the sender and recipient when hacking is involved. Thanks largely to the material released by Edward Snowden, we can provide a full picture of NSA’s extensive domestic data-collection network including Upstream programs like Fairview, Stormbrew and Blarney. These include at least 30 companies in the U.S. operating the fiber networks that carry the Public Switched Telephone Network as well as the World Wide Web. This gives NSA unparalleled access to data flowing within the U.S. and data going out to the rest of the world, as well as data transiting the U.S.

In other words, any data that is passed from the servers of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) or of Hillary Rodham Clinton (HRC) – or any other server in the U.S. – is collected by the NSA. These data transfers carry destination addresses in what are called packets, which enable the transfer to be traced and followed through the network.

Packets: Emails being passed across the World Wide Web are broken down into smaller segments called packets. These packets are passed into the network to be delivered to a recipient. This means the packets need to be reassembled at the receiving end.

To accomplish this, all the packets that form a message are assigned an identifying number that enables the receiving end to collect them for reassembly. Moreover, each packet carries the originator and ultimate receiver Internet protocol number (either IPV4 or IPV6) that enables the network to route data.

When email packets leave the U.S., the other “Five Eyes” countries (the U.K., Canada, Australia, and New Zealand) and the seven or eight additional countries participating with the U.S. in bulk-collection of everything on the planet would also have a record of where those email packets went after leaving the U.S.

These collection resources are extensive [see attached NSA slides 1, 2, 3, 4, 5]; they include hundreds of trace route programs that trace the path of packets going across the network and tens of thousands of hardware and software implants in switches and servers that manage the network. Any emails being extracted from one server going to another would be, at least in part, recognizable and traceable by all these resources.

The bottom line is that the NSA would know where and how any “hacked” emails from the DNC, HRC or any other servers were routed through the network. This process can sometimes require a closer look into the routing to sort out intermediate clients, but in the end sender and recipient can be traced across the network.

The various ways in which usually anonymous spokespeople for U.S. intelligence agencies are equivocating – saying things like “our best guess” or “our opinion” or “our estimate” etc. – shows that the emails alleged to have been “hacked” cannot be traced across the network. Given NSA’s extensive trace capability, we conclude that DNC and HRC servers alleged to have been hacked were, in fact, not hacked.

The evidence that should be there is absent; otherwise, it would surely be brought forward, since this could be done without any danger to sources and methods. Thus, we conclude that the emails were leaked by an insider – as was the case with Edward Snowden and Chelsea Manning. Such an insider could be anyone in a government department or agency with access to NSA databases, or perhaps someone within the DNC.

As for the comments to the media as to what the CIA believes, the reality is that CIA is almost totally dependent on NSA for ground truth in the communications arena. Thus, it remains something of a mystery why the media is being fed strange stories about hacking that have no basis in fact. In sum, given what we know of NSA’s existing capabilities, it beggars belief that NSA would be unable to identify anyone – Russian or not – attempting to interfere in a U.S. election by hacking.

The Russia Analyst's Nov. 7 Warning to Be Wary of Atlantic Council-Linked Crowdstrike

To quote our own article from pre-election day warning about Crowdstrike's malign influence on the election or now post-election effort alongside Clinton partisans and the dirty deep state to undermine the legitimacy of Trump's win, we wrote late on November 7th:

Since July, Mr. [Jeffrey] Carr has proven to be a thorn in the side of Crowdstrike’s claims to impeccable proof that fixates only on the Russians as the culprits in embarrassing the DNC, ignoring Guccifer 2.0’s claims that the Democrats’ servers were a hacker Halloween party, a free for all for state and non-state sponsored hackers alike due to piss poor security. In other words, political expediency and the ‘link Trump to the Russians’ agenda of Mr. Alperovitch’s DNC client trumped considerations of truth, or the entirely plausible possibility that the Russians may indeed have hacked the DNC but another state or non-state sponsored party were the ones who gave the actual emails to Wikileaks.

Crowdstrike, its politically connected CEO and management may turn out to have egg on their faces after the election if NSA whistleblower William Binney is vindicated in his belief that the DNC emails were leaked this summer by an NSA rogue ‘vigilante’...rather than the Russians. The recent arrest of NSA/Booz Allen Hamilton contractor Harold T. Martin III for allegedly stockpiling terabytes of data he pilfered from work on unsecured home devices (perhaps Mr. Martin’s attorneys will invoke the Hillary Clinton ‘no bad intent’ defense that didn’t work for a U.S. Navy sailor?), just happened to have coincided a few weeks after this summer’s DNC email dumps.

Wikileaks Insists the DNC AND Podesta Emails Came from Insiders the Old-Fashioned Way:
Through Passes by Intermediaries in Washington D.C. Metro Area Parks

Indeed, William Binney has maintained and Judge Andrew Napolitano has stated on Fox News that the John Podesta emails if not the DNC dump could have come from an anti-Clinton NSA insider. Julian Assange and Wikileaks have been insisting for weeks that its dump did not come from the Russians, but from disgruntled insiders at the DNC disgusted by the Hillary-crats robbing Vermont independent socialist Senator Bernie Sanders of the nomination:

A Wikileaks envoy today claims he personally received Clinton campaign emails in Washington D.C. after they were leaked by ‘disgusted’ whisteblowers - and not hacked by Russia.

Craig Murray, former British ambassador to Uzbekistan and a close associate of Wikileaks founder Julian Assange, told that he flew to Washington, D.C. for a clandestine hand-off with one of the email sources in September.

’Neither of [the leaks] came from the Russians,’ said Murray in an interview with on Tuesday. ‘The source had legal access to the information. The documents came from inside leaks, not hacks.’

Murray’s account contradicts directly the version of how thousands of Democratic emails were published before the election being advanced by U.S. intelligence.

Obama and the Democrats Double Down on Trying to Undermine Trump's Presidency and Sabotage The Donald's Plans for Detente with Russia, Moscow Denies Involvement

In order to maintain the momentum of what's clearly a coordinated campaign between the lame duck Obama White House, the CIA and a believe absolutely everything Langley says Trump-hating legacy press, Obama announced Thursday night that the U.S. would wage cyber warfare against Russia. Obama has scheduled a Friday press conference to announce more details about his planned retaliation for what the Russian security services and Putin personally have already been pronounced guilty of doing:

US President Barack Obama has vowed to take action against Russia for its alleged interference in the US presidential election campaign. “We need to take action and we will,” the president told NPR.

Russia stands accused by the US of hacking the emails of the Democratic Party and a key Hillary Clinton aide, which the Kremlin strongly denies.
Republican president-elect Donald Trump has also dismissed the claim as “ridiculous” and politically motivated.

The intelligence agencies say they have overwhelming evidence that Russian hackers linked to the Kremlin were behind the hacks. And on Thursday, a White House spokesman said President Vladimir Putin was involved in the cyber-attacks.

Hours later, Mr Obama said: “I think there’s no doubt that when any foreign government tries to impact on the integrity of our elections, that we need to take action and we will, at a time and a place of our own choosing.

”Some of it may be explicit and publicised. Some of it may not be.

”Mr Putin is well aware of my feelings about this, because I spoke to him directly about it.”

Putin's press spokesman Dmitry Peskov as well as Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova have dismissed Obama and the CIA's allegations as 'laughable nonsense'. We have yet to hear from the Kremlin regarding what Putin said in reply to Obama when the two world leaders met for the last time during the APEC summit at Lima, Peru in November.

House Intel Committee Republicans Push Back Against Obama's Pending Press Conference on Friday, Ask Why CIA Won't Brief Them Rather Than WaPost/NYT On the Evidence

Obama's statement appears to have everything to do with the clock running out on his own presidency and the likely doomed attempt to disrupt the electoral college affirming Trump's victory on Monday, December 19th. The Democrats are also beginning to face serious pushback from Republicans, including Republican National Committee (RNC) chairman turned incoming White House Chief of Staff Reince Preibus, who along with his deputy Sean Spicer have affirmed to the media that FBI agents confirmed the RNC was NOT hacked by the Russians. This point directly contradicts one of the nameless, faceless CIA sources of The New York Times' argument that the Russians hacked both the DNC and RNC but only released emails from the former, thereby indicating Moscow's favoring Trump.

On Tuesday, House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes issued a press release decrying the refusal of CIA officials to go on the record before his committee to affirm the 'Russia hacked the election to explicitly support Trump' findings 'leaked' to The Washington Post and New York Times:

House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes issued the following statement after Intelligence Community agencies declined a request to brief the House Intelligence Committee tomorrow on cyber-attacks during the presidential campaign:

“It is unacceptable that the Intelligence Community directors would not fulfill the House Intelligence Committee’s request to be briefed tomorrow on the cyber-attacks that occurred during the presidential campaign. The legislative branch is constitutionally vested with oversight responsibility of executive branch agencies, which are obligated to comply with our requests. The Committee is vigorously looking into reports of cyber-attacks during the election campaign, and in particular we want to clarify press reports that the CIA has a new assessment that it has not shared with us. The Committee is deeply concerned that intransigence in sharing intelligence with Congress can enable the manipulation of intelligence for political purposes. The Committee will continue its efforts and will insist that we receive all the necessary cooperation from the relevant leaders of the Intelligence Community.”

New York Congressman Peter King -- who has been outspoken in his criticism of the Russians and taken typically Cold Warrior/neocon friendly positions on Ukraine, had this to say on Fox News, in response to the 'disgraceful' leaks. Citing the FBI and Director of National Intelligence James Clapper's November assessment that Russia only sought to damage confidence in U.S. elections and not elect Trump, King is accusing the CIA and White House of being the ones carrying out a disinformation campaign against the president elect. Blonde bimbo for the Establishment Megyn naturally, defends the spooks from King's allegation that some of them or their contacts on Capitol Hill have gone full Democrat crazy on Trump:

Seven Days in December:
Will Obama Try to Overtly Tamper with the Electoral College Vote?

Having said all this, it remains to be seen just how well the 'Russians hacked the election!' Establishment-approved conspiracy theory is sinking in among Americans. Julia Ioffe, the Soviet Union-born 'journalist' for The Atlantic who was fired from Politico for a disgusting tweet alleging incest between Donald Trump and his daughter Ivanka this week, lamented on a CNN panel earlier this month that no one seems to believe her or the 4th estate anymore. After over a year of warning the public that Donald Trump was a Putin stooge, Ioffe admitted a certain amount of Trump fatigue has set in, much like the boy who cried wolf.

With the accelerated deployment of a U.S. combat brigade to Poland's northeastern border region with the Russian Federation's Baltic exclave of Kaliningrad announced this week, we see Obama and the CIA doubling down on sabotaging detente between the U.S. and Russia. But these schemes are likely to prove meaningless in the long term -- at least, that's the opinion of RogueMoney radio contributor and  LaRouche PAC executive Harley Schlanger. The Russia Analyst hopes, for the sake of peace in the world and a fresh start between the world's two leading military and nuclear powers, that Mr. Schlanger is right.
